Against her mother’s more tomboy ideals, but never without her support, Caitlin Conlon sought out dance when she could hardly even reach the ballet barre. Born and raised in New York City, such dreams always seemed attainable. Starting at her local competitive dance studio, That’s Dancin’ Inc., Caitlin was given the necessary technique, tools, motivation, encouragement, and sheer love needed to move in the direction of a career.

Acceptance and attendance to the prestigious LaGuardia High School of Music, Art, & the Performing Arts in New York City (FAME) gave her a renewed understanding on what she would need to cultivate in both technique and performance to succeed as a dancer. Taking class daily with the boys and girls from The School of American Ballet and Alvin Ailey set forth a standard to meet, and set a positive and healthy competitive atmosphere pushing each student to improve.

Four years later, Caitlin’s sole application to college landed her into the rigorous BFA program at Marymount Manhattan College. Run as a conservatory under Katie Langan, students were given the opportunity to really strip down everything they had previously learned and re-sculpt their ideas, with performance maturity and a deep understanding of the human anatomy as it pertains to a dancer. Most importantly, students were taught not how to be a professional dancer, but “a dance professional,” knowing absolutely all facets of the art form and field.

Now with both commercial and concert dance training, and a passion for performance, a few months after graduation, Caitlin signed with McDonald Selznick Associated (MSA) for representation. A few short months after that, she landed her first huge job as primary female in a national SAG commercial for Verizon Wireless. That job was Caitlin’s first taste of professional success, and since then she has built a resume that she is proud of in just a few years. After a couple of years of working in New York City, she picked up and moved to Los Angeles, realizing that it would give her more room to grow as an artist.

Currently Caitlin is one of four dancers that tour the world with music icon Kanye West. When she is not on the road, she’s taking class, teaching workshops, and performing with two different burlesque/cabaret companies. In addition, Caitlin has begun to move into the realm of modeling, becoming one of five fitness models for Seventeen Magazine’s video fit club online.
